Measure or monitor rail infrastructure
Warning alerts and scheduled measurements for rail infrastructure monitoring
MultiSense®
mixed application sensing from up to 8 sensors in an array
MultiSense® is a system to measure or monitor rail infrastructure remotely from up to 8 sensors. It can provide warning alerts as well as scheduled measurements for rail infrastructure monitoring – all remotely without the need for track side intervention.
Based on a small cluster local area network, each MultiSense measuring head, called a Node is battery powered and completely self-contained. The Nodes are available with temperature, humidity, tilt, 3 axis accelerometers, giros, magnetometers, isolated voltage or current sensors. The type of sensors connected to a single hub can be mixed and matched to suit the application.
The Nodes connect via a low power radio link to the MultiSense Hub. The Hub stores the measurements from the remote Nodes and forwards them to the RailSense Cloud Database. The Hub contains an Hi-gain cellular antenna and can be pole mounted to provide extended coverage even in low signal level areas.
The MultiSense Hub has built-in a solar charging system for the internal battery, under most circumstances this can provide sufficient power to run the Hub indefinitely, thus reducing maintenance costs and help to keeping track-side workers safe.
